Breast Reduction Surgery
Women who experience discomfort due to excessively large and heavy breasts, are over the age of 18, and have no contraindications for general anesthesia are suitable candidates for breast reduction surgery. During the initial consultation, the size, degree of sagging, symmetry of the breasts, and the patient's overall body structure are thoroughly evaluated. Based on the patient’s expectations, the amount of reduction and the surgical technique to be used are discussed. The surgical plan is customized according to the patient’s preferences.

Before the Surgery
Candidates include women over 18 who suffer from issues related to overly large and heavy breasts and are medically fit for general anesthesia. During the consultation, breast size, degree of sagging, symmetry, and body structure are assessed. The desired reduction amount is discussed. Information is provided about the surgical technique, hospital process, and post-operative care. The extent of reduction can be adjusted based on the patient's preferences.
Hospital and Surgical Process
Pre-operative tests are usually completed on the same day or one day before surgery. No food or drink should be consumed for at least 8 hours prior to the operation. After evaluation by an anesthesiologist, if no issues are found, the surgery proceeds as planned. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, and the patient does not feel pain during the operation.
The operation typically takes about 2–3 hours, though the total hospital stay may be longer due to anesthesia and recovery time. After surgery, antibiotics and pain management are initiated in the recovery room. A check-up is done the following day, and if deemed appropriate, the patient is discharged. A second follow-up appointment is scheduled for the third day post-surgery.
Pre-Operative Preparation
Candidates for breast reduction surgery should be women over 18 who experience physical discomfort due to overly large and heavy breasts and have no medical conditions preventing general anesthesia. During the initial consultation, breast size, degree of sagging, symmetry, and overall body structure are carefully assessed. Based on the patient's expectations, the appropriate reduction volume and surgical technique are determined. The surgical plan is tailored to the patient’s individual preferences.
